BACKGROUND
Stuart helps organizations create and implement marketing
strategies and plans that are grounded in key insights about
their company, customers and competitors.
Stuart has worked with a number of major clients including
HSBC, AXA financial, Lehman Brothers and StainMaster to define
their core customers, assess the competitive environment and
develop their go to market strategy. For more than seventeen
years Stuart sold competitive and market intelligence. Stuart
began his career with two of the largest and most respected
online publishers: Lexis-Nexis and Thomson. Later he was
recruited to manage the financial services group for
Datamonitor, which provided its own research and consulting to
clients. In 2001 Stuart was the Director of Sales for Round1
where he gained a very intense experience with developing and
selling enterprise software to venture capitalists. Recently,
Stuart sold marketing data, software and analysis for Nielsen
Claritas which is a leader in marketing analysis of trade areas
and customer data. Currently Stuart is President of Birchwood
Business Strategies, LLC, a market research consultancy whose
clients include Experian and the Gale Group.
EDUCATION
Stuart earned a BA from Tulane University and an MA from Sacred
Heart University.
